Kanadiske The Sheepdogs er bygget på solid, klassisk rock med tredelte harmonier og doble gitarer. De blander boogie-rock, groove-basert psykedelia og blues med moderne rock and roll. Lørdag 1. juni gjester de Krøsset!Bandet består av talentfulle Ewan Currie (vokal, gitar), Jimmy Bowskill (gitar), Ryan Gullen (bass), Sam Corbett (trommer) og Ewans bror, Shamus (messing og keys). Alle fra byen Saskatoon i Canada.
Bassist Ryan sier:
"This past Feb/March we embarked on an epic tour across Europe with the Rival Sons. We played a lot of new places, saw a lot of new faces, and in general had ourselves a damn fine time. We are thrilled to get back across the pond this June to reconnect with our old fans as well as show our new friends what a full Sheepdogs set looks and sounds like. Let's get it on!”
Frontmannen Ewan legger til:
"Scandinavia: it had been a long time coming, but we finally got our first taste in March and it was love at first sight. We're coming back at the end of May/early June for a second helping. Looking forward to seeing your beautiful countries in the summer and making sweet rock n roll love to your ear pussies."
De ga ut tre uavhengige album; «Trying to Grow» (2006), «Big Stand» (2008) og «Learn & Burn» (2010), før de i 2011 stakk av med seieren i den nordamerikanske «Battle of the Bands». The Sheepdogs vant en avtale med Atlantic Records og var det første usignerte bandet til å fronte forsiden av Rolling Stone Magazine. Deres mentor i konkurransen, og nå fan, Kid Rock sa om bandet:
“They’re exactly where rock & roll should be.”
Siden dette har de langhårede og skjeggete kanadiske fyrene vokst seg større og større. De turnerer mellom innspillinger og har spilt på en rekke store festivaler inkludert South by Southwest i Texas, Edgefest i Toronto, Ottawas Bluesfest og CityFolk Festival.
«Changing Colours», bandets sjette studioalbum, fulgte i 2018 og inneholdt singelen «I’ve Got a Whole Where My Heart Should Be» og «Saturday Night».
