Former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson brought his "Faith in the Future" tour to Oslo Spektrum Arena in support of his sophomore studio album. Over half the songs on the evening's setlist were from that record.Opening with “The Greatest” followed by “Kill My Mind”, it was clear that Louis creates high energy on stage that the crowd adores, and he had them in the palm of his hand immediately. The screaming from the audience persisted throughout the gig.
His backing band was heavy and tight, providing a rockier sound that some of his fans may have been used to with One Direction. He paid tribute to his roots and kept old fans happy with a mid set performance of One Direction's "Night Changes". Highlights later in the set included fan favorite “Copy of a Copy of a Copy”, a cover of the Arctic Monkeys “505”, and the brooding, mid-tempo "Back to You", Tomlinson's second solo single from 2017.
The encore included another nod to One Direction, with "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" and proceedings were concluded with the final song "Silver Tongues". Tomlinson seemed genuinely grateful for the reception from the Oslo crowd.
